Alberta Gardener Living
Founded in 2002, Alberta Gardener is the third in the Local Gardener magazine series published by Pegasus Publications Inc.
Alberta Gardener zeros in on gardening in one of the more challenging areas of Canada. In Alberta, as in Manitoba, winters can be long and cold, while the summers are hot and, in the southern part of the province, arid. Calgary chinooks can have a devastating effect on growing conditions. Rocky mountain terrain presents its own challenges and opportunities. Local gardens are influenced by the nearness of the mountains and by the cultural mix.
The publication is four-color, 8 ˝ by 11 inches, published five times a year (retail price $5.95), plus a special Beautiful Gardens & Landscapes issue ($8.95). Yearly subscriptions are $29.95, with a 6th issue for free!
